Thirty-nine compassionate Baldwin Wallace University students made a difference by volunteering at four diverse destinations during 2017 winter break. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. Each experience is led by a BW student with support from a University faculty or staff adviser. Student volunteers traveled to San Antonio, New Orleans, Chicago and Providence, Rhode Island.

The Capital Fraternity and Sorority Life community welcomed over 100 new members through member chapters of the Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Panhellenic Association.
The purposes of the Alpha Phi sorority are to uphold high ideals of womanhood, scholarship and service. Activities include dinners, family events, annual Teeter-Totter-A-Thon, Adopt a Sweetheart and Jump Rope for Your Heart. Membership is open to female students with a 2.5 grade point average. Prospective members are required to go through an application process.

Club sports provide students with opportunities for recreation and physical activity in a wide variety of sports. Recreational clubs provide an atmosphere in which students can learn a sport and have fun. Competitive clubs contend with sport clubs from other towns or universities, traveling to different events throughout the year.
Northeast Ohio Medical University Pharmacy Students Inducted Into National Pharmacy Leadership Society
On May 8, 24 Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) pharmacy students and faculty were inducted into the Gamma Pi Chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma during a formal ceremony. Phi Lambda Sigma, the national pharmacy leadership society, promotes the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students. Members are selected by peer recognition, and such recognition instills and enhances self-confidence, encourages students to take more active roles and promotes greater effort toward the advancement of pharmacy.
